About Our Diagnostic Equipment
Please note that our 3 offices are connected by computer and that your records can be transferred any where in the world, at your request, via e-mail. Thus should you be in a foreign country with a visual problem, or we want another opinion from a larger centre anywhere in the world we can send your pictures and all your data via e-mail.
Every piece of information is stored electronically, with back up, so that you can feel comfortable that your information may be accessed or sent from anywhere at any time, and that we have a permanent digital result to compare to over a period of time as to any changes!
Dr. Monea works very diligently to insure that the offices, staff, literature, and equipment is on the very “cutting-edge” to provide you with a very personal, educational, customer-orientated experience. She personally designs and writes the educational articles for the office and always invites you for new and constructive criticism. Dr. Monea wants you to know that she genuinely cares about every patient and invites you to e-mail her with any concerns regardless of where you are and she will definitely respond back to you in a timely fashion.
Dr. Monea also will do educational seminars on various aspects of visual health, should you like her to do a seminar please just contact her directly.
Our Equipment
All of our equipment is state of the art digital, flat- screen computers to give high resolution. Information from the pre-test equipment is electronically stored and feed to the lap-top in the doctor’s offices, visible to a patient so that they will understand and appreciate their visual condition. Many copies can be printed off at any time so that if you wish a picture just advise the doctor.

Intraocular Pressures: Tonometry—measures the pressure inside the eye, a screening test for a disease called GLAUCOMA.
Automated Lensometry:
This measures the power in your current spectacles and records it then sends it to the lap- top in the doctor’s room.
The Doctor’s Room:
All the information from the pre-test room is linked and presents on the flat-screen in the doctor’s room so that they may explain and educate you “personally” on your visual eye-health. Cirrus™ HD-OCT is a device used by both Ophthalmologists and Optometrists as a tool to view the back layer of the eye, the retina including the optic nerve and the macula. Optical tomography (OCT) imaging system captures 3D high definition line scans of the retina for precise detail of retinal tissue and EARLY detection of disease/pathology. The scan and images are then reviewed by your doctor to detect and monitor various retinal conditions such as diabetes, age related macular degeneration, and glaucoma. By doing this scan, your doctor is better equipped to make a decision on treatment.
